TED Conferences LLC is a media organization that posts talks online for free distribution under the slogan “ideas worth spreading.” TED was conceived by Richard Saul Wurman in February 1984 as a conference which has been held annually since 1990.
TED’s early emphasis was on technology and design, consistent with its Silicon Valley origins, but it has since broadened its repertoire to include talks on many scientific, cultural, and academic topics.
At the Video Add-ons screen select the TED Talks add-on. The first screen that is displayed when using this add-on offers various methods to find the programmes you’re looking for:
Newest Talks
The Newest Talks menu displays the most recent programmes shown on TED. At the main menu select ‘Newest Talks‘:
Search
The Search menu brings up the on screen keyboard so that you can search the programmes shown on TED. At the main menu select ‘Search‘:
Speakers
The Speakers menu displays programmes by the speakers name. At the main menu select ‘Speakers‘:
Topics
The Topics menu displays programmes by it’s topic name. At the main menu select ‘Topics‘:
